Sponsors

Sponsors are a second source of revenue next to tickets. Companies back your events, you show them on your pages, and you manage them all from one list.

How it works

You add a brand as a sponsor and it appears on your pages. Visitors to your community or event see the sponsors too. The sponsor gets visibility and you get support.

Where you manage sponsors

In the community admin panel, the Community Sponsors page in the Community group of the sidebar is your sponsor list, which you can reuse across all your events. Sponsors sit in two tabs: Active and Archived.

Adding a sponsor

Press Add Sponsor (Add on a phone) and you get two choices:

• Create New adds a brand-new sponsor to the community.
• Use Event Sponsor lists sponsors already added to your community's events, so you can bring several into your community list at once.

For a new sponsor you fill in:

• Sponsor Logo
• Company Name (required)
• Sponsorship Type (required): you choose from Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. For a sponsorship that is not a rank (a "Coffee Sponsor", say), choose Other and type your own wording.
• Link: the sponsor's website.
• Active sponsor: when on, the sponsor is featured on your community page; turn it off and it moves to the Archived tab.

You can also add sponsors from your community list to your events, so you don't have to enter the same details each time. For event sponsors, see Co-hosting and sponsors.

Setting the order

On the Active tab, grab a sponsor by the handle at the left of its row and drag it to a new place. Your community page shows sponsors in this order. Archived sponsors are never shown on the community page, so they cannot be reordered.

How they look on your community page

Your active sponsors are listed in the Sponsors section of your community page's side column, each in its own box. If there are more, View All opens the full list. If you picked a sponsorship type from Diamond to Bronze, the sponsor's box carries that tier's colour and mark. A type you wrote yourself with Other appears as text under the sponsor's name. A visitor who clicks a sponsor with a link goes to the sponsor's website.

Editing and deleting

Each row has an edit and a delete button on its right. The delete button opens a Delete Sponsor window that shows the sponsor's logo and name and asks you to confirm. Deleting can't be undone. If you only want the sponsor off your page, archive it instead by turning off Active sponsor.

How the money flows

Sponsor income reaches you the same way ticket income does. When a sponsorship is paid, the amount lands in your community's revenue balance, and you withdraw it like the rest of your earnings.

You don't track it separately. Sponsor income sits next to your ticket income on the Revenue page, moves through the same payment statuses, and pays out to the same bank account.
