Design a certificate

The designer is where you turn a background image into a certificate template. Each recipient's name and code get filled in automatically when you issue, so you design the layout once.

Open the designer

On a program's Templates tab, press New template (or click an existing template to edit it). The designer opens full width, with a controls panel on the left and a live preview on the right.

Start by giving it a Template name, then open Background and upload your artwork — this is the certificate image itself (a landscape image works best). You can change or clear it at any time.

Labels and the QR code

Labels are the pieces of text on the certificate. Two are there by default:

• Recipient name — replaced with each person's name when you issue.
• Certificate code — replaced with their unique verification code.

Click a label to select it, then drag it on the preview to position it. In the Selected label panel you can set the font size, color, font, alignment, rotation, and exact X / Y position, or lock a label so it can't be moved by accident. The corner handle on a selected label resizes it.

The QR code links to the certificate's public page. Toggle it on or off, drag it to place it, and set its size and rotation. Recipients scan it to verify the certificate.

Save and preview

Press Save in the top right to store the template on the program — that's what you'll pick when issuing. To check the design first, open Preview & export and use Download JPG or Download PDF to see a sample with placeholder text.

A tip: the QR and code point at the verification page, so leave room for them. Once the template looks right, head to the Issue tab.
