Share an event and make a poster

Updated August 26, 2026

Share an event as a link, a QR code, or a ready-made poster — and if you have a ticket, a personal one carrying your name and photo.

There are two ways to share an event you like: hand over its link, or make a ready-made image and post it. Both start in the same place — the Share button on the event page.

The share window gives you:

  • Copy link — the event's public address. People who aren't signed in can open it too.
  • X, LinkedIn, and email — these open the relevant place with a message already written; you just send it.
  • QR code — a code you can scan with a phone. Handy for a poster, a slide, or a table.

Make a poster

The same window has a Share a poster section. It produces a ready-made image built from the event's cover, name, date, time, location, and the name of the community running it.

The poster is drawn in your browser, on your device — there's no queue to wait in.

What you can pick:

  • Three designs. The arrows move between them; each shows the same information in a different look.
  • Three sizes. Portrait (for a post), Story (for an Instagram/WhatsApp story), and Landscape (for wide screens and cover images).

When you find the combination you like, press Save. On a phone your device's share sheet opens; on a computer the file downloads straight away. The button only turns to "Downloaded" once the file has actually landed.

A poster carries no price, ticket type, order number, or QR code. That's deliberately plain: what a shared image is for is the event itself.

The personal ticket poster

The "you're in" screen you get after registering for an event also has a poster section. This one is personal: alongside the event details it carries your name and profile photo — a ready-made way of saying you're going.

This poster is only produced for the person holding the ticket, and only on that screen. The Share button on the event page gives the public, unpersonalized poster.

If you'd rather your name and photo didn't end up on a poster, simply don't save it; nothing leaves your device until you do.
