Your ticket and QR check-in

When you join an event, you get a ticket. The ticket has a QR code on it, and you show that code at the door.

What your ticket looks like

After you register, your ticket lands in your account. It sits in the My Tickets section on the event page, and in the My Tickets tab on your profile. The event page lists your first three tickets for that event; if you have more, View All Tickets opens all of them in a window.

Every ticket carries:

• A QR code, the one that gets scanned at the door.
• A ticket number that identifies your ticket.
• The event name and the ticket type.

If someone bought the ticket for you, a Bought by line on it shows their name. On the event page, a ticket that has been scanned at the door reads Used.

On your profile, each ticket is a compact card with the event's picture at one end and Show QR code at the other (Used once it has been scanned). Tapping a ticket opens a larger view with the QR code. Opening it on your phone is enough; you do not need to print anything.

QR check-in at the door

On the day of the event, you open the QR code on your ticket. The organizer scans it with a scanner and lets you in.

Once the code is scanned, your ticket is marked Used. If you have it open on the event page, Checked in appears on screen the moment it is scanned. The same ticket cannot be used to enter a second time, so you and the organizer both know the ticket was used.

Charge your phone and turn the screen brightness up so the code scans on the first try.

Fast check-in at the venue

Some events have a QR poster at the entrance. If the event is free, scanning that poster with your phone registers you on the spot and your ticket appears on screen. If you do not have an account, one is created for you in seconds, with no queue to wait in.

For a paid event, this step sends you to the normal ticket flow, because payment is not taken at the door.
