Updates

What's changed in Gathin

A record of what we added, changed, and fixed in every release.

  1. v2.1.4

    Added

    • Website — Every Gathin release is now published at /updates — what was added, changed and fixed, in English and Turkish.

  2. v2.1.3

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — On the day of an event, the check-in banner now opens the right page. It was leading to a page that did not exist.

    • Organizer panel — Clone and Share sit together on the event overview instead of at opposite ends of the header.

  3. v2.1.2

    Fixed

    • Forms — A form built from the community Forms page no longer gets attached to every event in that community by accident. Only a form you deliberately linked to an event can gate that event's ticket flow.

  4. v2.1.1

    Added

    • Speakers — The Speaker Library. A speaker is now one person across the whole platform instead of a fresh set of details typed into every event. Organizers search the library from the add-speaker box and pick someone; anything they fill in themselves applies to their event only, and anything left blank comes from the library. Speakers get their own page listing every talk they have given, and can claim it as theirs by confirming an emailed link.

    • Profile — Talks and tickets are one events feed. An event you both spoke at and hold a ticket for shows once, not twice, and a Talks filter narrows the feed to your talks alone. Speak at anything and your name carries a verified-speaker mark.

    • Sharing — Posters. Any event page can produce a ready-made image to post: three designs, three sizes — portrait, story and landscape. Registering for an event gives you a personal one carrying your first name and photo.

    • Forms — Click a row in the results table to read one person's whole submission, laid out on the form they filled in, with every answer in full.

    • Sign-in — The sign-in screen you reach from a half-filled form now says your answers are safe. They are kept on your device and restored when you come back.

    • Organizer panel — On the day of an event, a strip across the top of the panel takes you straight to check-in and says whether the event has started.

    Fixed

    • Calendar — Events go into your calendar at the hours they actually run. A multi-day event used to land as one block covering its whole range, so a three-month course meeting two evenings a week blocked out the entire quarter. A conference now adds one entry per day; a course reads its days from the schedule; an event that never pauses stays a single block.

    • Organizer panel — The speaker library matches the width, spacing and controls of the community and venue lists beside it, instead of reading as a different screen.

    • Speakers — Adding a speaker from the library works. Every attempt was failing silently.

    • Speakers — The library list shows the speakers in it, instead of reporting itself empty next to a count that said otherwise.

    • Events — The name on a ticket poster is your first name, and your photo loads reliably. Posters no longer run their text past the edge on any design or size, show the venue name rather than a full street address, and fade in the way every other image in the app does.

    • Organizer panel — Contact details, organizer name and notification email survive an event settings save. They were being overwritten every time.

  5. v2.0.39

    Added

    • Forms — You can read and fill a form without signing in. An account is only needed to send it, and the sign-in options wait where the submit button would be.

    • Venues — A venue card shows how many people follow it alongside its event count.

    • Search — Venues are searchable from the search box, and opening it inside the guide searches the guide straight away.

    • Venues — The venues directory opens on a cover image and cards that match the communities directory.

    Changed

    • Organizer panel — One Create button on the communities tab, in the same place the venues tab puts its own, instead of three scattered ways to do it.

    Fixed

    • Images — A large photo is resized before it is uploaded instead of failing with an unexplained error.

    • Sign-in — Signing up with Google records where the account came from, the same way signing up with an email address does.

    • Images — Cover photos and hero images appear all at once instead of wiping in from the top as they load.

  6. v2.0.38

    Fixed

    • Pricing — The paid plan buttons no longer lead nowhere. Both went to a page that could not act on them, so nobody who read the pricing page to the end could do anything about it.

  7. v2.0.37

Released as 2.0.38 — this version number was never deployed.

  8. v2.0.36

Released as 2.0.38 — this version number was never deployed.

  9. v2.0.35

    Added

    • Venues — Venues. A venue is the place events happen, and it sits above communities: one page for "Haliç Üniversitesi" gathers everything held there, whoever is running it. Venue pages carry an event feed, a location with directions, the people who manage it, and a follow button. Registering for an event at a venue follows it for you. Organizers pick a venue in the event location step and its address fills itself in.

    • Lists — Lists. Keep the events you plan to attend in one place on your profile and share the collection by link. A list takes events from anywhere, not only Gathin: paste a link and the details fill themselves in. Lists stay private until you make them public.

    • Forms — The results page leads with how many people opened the form, next to how many answered. Seven responses means one thing against nine opens and something else against nine hundred.

    • Organizer panel — The visitor date range is a real picker: presets down to a single day plus a window you choose yourself. The visits chart answers the cursor anywhere in a column instead of only on the bar itself.

    • Profile — Saved events have a link in the footer.

    • Press kit — The Gathin mark is available as a proper vector.

    Fixed

    • Press kit — The vector download hands out the Gathin mark. It was giving out the Lodos staff badge, on the page journalists use.

    • Navigation — The top navigation marks one link as current instead of lighting up every link at once.

    • Organizer panel — Reloading a page counts as a visit. Only brand-new sessions were being counted, so the visitor numbers were low.

    • Profile — The loading placeholder is shaped like the page that follows it, so nothing jumps when the profile arrives.

    • Forms — An answer reads as the option the person picked rather than its internal code.

    • Forms — Long questions get headings that fit them, and a long answer can be read in full.

    • Venues — A venue's logo sits on the brand green instead of picking up whatever colour is behind it.

    • Events — Picking a venue fills the street address rather than repeating the venue's own name, and an event names its venue once instead of twice.

    • Lists — A list says whose it is and links to them, shares as a card built from its own event covers, and shows what is in it on your profile.

    • Lists — Adding one of our own events to a list adds the event itself, not a copy scraped from its page.

    • Lists — Covers fade in as they load and the rows stack properly on a phone.

    • Lists — Pasting a link from another events site now picks up the date and city it advertises.

    • Venues — The venue pages and admin panel match the rest of the product: the same hero, the same list rows, the same empty states, the same menus. Following a venue works, saving a venue's logo works, and the panel's own navigation goes where it says.

  10. v2.0.34

    Added

    • Forms — Editing a form keeps a draft on your device, the way creating one already did, so a closed tab or a crash no longer costs the work.

    Fixed

    • Forms — Paragraph breaks and spacing survive in every piece of free text an organizer or a respondent writes. Nothing had ever been lost, but it was all being shown as one run-on block.

  11. v2.0.33

    Added

    • Forms — The form editor splits into Details and Theme, and theming was rebuilt. Presets come in Light, Dark and Automatic sets, colour slots open a picker you can paste a brand colour into, and corner roundness is a slider.

    • Forms — Duplicate a form from its row menu, share it as a QR code, and keep unsaved work as a draft.

    • Forms — The results page reads as one row of figures instead of two unrelated strips, fields can be dragged into order, and a single field can be duplicated.

    • Certificates — A certificate program can be attached to an event, and the event page shows what the certificate looks like.

    • Email — The announcement composer sends for real. Community and event announcements go out through the live mail service instead of a placeholder.

    • Email — The Mailing page lists everything a community has sent, with recipients, delivered, opened and clicked for each one.

    Changed

    • Events — The certificate card moved into the sidebar with its thumbnail on the left, so it stops pushing the description down the page.

    Fixed

    • Forms — The summary figures line up: icons beside their labels, numbers on the same line, no ragged row when one label wraps.

    • Forms — The editor preview uses the theme you picked. A custom button colour appeared to do nothing, the selected preset was clipped, and the colour popover was invisible in dark mode.

    • Forms — A form's linked event is fixed once it is set. It could still be added while editing, which silently changed which form an event's ticket flow used.

    • Email — The send confirmation shows one row of buttons, in your language. It was showing two, the second pair in English.

    • Email — The header image crops to 16:9, the shape the mail actually uses. It was cropping square without saying so.

    • Communities — Exporting the member list exports every member, not just the ones scrolled into view.

  12. v2.0.32

    Fixed

    • Communities — The Communities list keeps loading past the first page instead of stopping, and no longer leaves a spinner hanging on a fast connection.

    • Profile — The tab underline stays inside the tab strip when the tabs scroll sideways.

  13. v2.0.31

Released as 2.0.32 — this version number was never deployed.

  14. v2.0.30

    Fixed

    • Certificates — Deleting a certificate works.

    • Communities — The owner-only settings are visible to the owner again. They had disappeared for everyone.

  15. v2.0.29

    Added

    • Communities — Participants and organizers are one members window instead of two separate views, with search and proper scrolling.

  16. v2.0.28

    Added

    • Legal — Legal documents come from the admin panel rather than the app itself, so they can be corrected without a release, and the consent people give is recorded.

    • Account — İzinlerim shows when each notice was shown to you, instead of listing them with no status at all.

    • Legal — A pending document can be accepted from the notice itself, without opening the document first.

    • Events — People you follow appear at the top of the participant list.

    Fixed

    • Legal — The fallback copies of every document have their unfilled placeholders removed.

    • Events — An event card says whether you are going, not whether the person whose profile you are looking at is going.

  17. v2.0.27

    Added

    • Forms — A form fills in your name, surname, email and phone from your account, and the example names are gone from the empty fields.

    • Account — Theme and language sit together under Preferences in the account menu, with the calendar subscription beside them and a way back to your profile.

    • Email — Announcements can target attendees by whether they checked in, alongside the ticket-type filter.

    • Payments — Your own purchase history has its own tab.

    • Profile — Date of birth, city and gender can be set in Personal Info.

    • Organizer panel — The participant list gains status tabs, search by email domain, shift-select, and bulk check-in and export.

    • Events — Clone an event to start a new one pre-filled from it.

    • Payments — The event ledger leads with a gross → commission → net breakdown.

    • Tickets — Checkout always shows the KDV breakdown, tax included, on every line.

    • Pro — The Pro page reads as a product page rather than a waitlist form.

    • Organizer panel — The RSVP toggle says "Require approval to register", and the participant list can export exactly what is on screen.

    Fixed

    • Payments — The payments list waits for your session instead of flashing an empty state first, uses the right colours in both themes, and shows the rows it was given.

    • Organizer panel — The ticket modal is wide enough for its own fields, the banner and title line up, and Back goes to the community's events.

    • Calendar — The month grid starts on Monday where the language expects it to.

  18. v2.0.26

    Added

    • Certificates — Certificates and badges. Communities can design a certificate, award badges, group them into learning paths, and let anyone verify one online from its own public page.

    • Guide — A full user guide, with the common questions folded into it, searchable from the top of every page.

    • Legal — The Turkish legal stack — terms, privacy, distance selling, cancellation and refund, organizer agreement and the rest — with a hub page listing all of them.

    • Website — Three plans on the pricing page with a monthly and yearly toggle, a comparison against the alternatives, a Pro page, and a features page that gives collaboration and certificates their own sections.

    • Website — Media, mobile and sitemap pages.

    • Account — Self-serve account settings: your account, personal information, your data, and changing your password.

    • Calendar — Subscribe once and every event you are going to keeps itself up to date in your own calendar.

    • Organizer panel — Visitor analytics for a community and for each event.

    • Organizer panel — An attendee's registration-form answers are visible from the participant list, and the registration form has its own tab.

    • Events — New events default to RSVP, with a registration limit and waitlist, and the overview carries a setup checklist.

    • Events — Registering through a form linked to an event registers you for the event.

    • Events — The event gallery is a justified grid rather than fixed boxes.

    • Forms — The form editor is a single fullscreen surface, and the public form pages carry the form's own theme.

    • Search — Search the guide and the public pages from the same box, signed in or not.

    • Sharing — Copy a speaker list, media links or a description to the clipboard in one click, and share an event from the organizer panel with a QR code.

    • Account — The app picks your language from your browser on the first visit, and your session follows you across browser tabs.

    • Account — Two more dark themes: AMOLED and high contrast.

    • Accessibility — A pass across the shared components for screen readers and keyboard use.

    Changed

    • Forms — Creating and editing a form are one two-step fullscreen editor instead of two different windows.

    • Communities — Community announcements were removed.

    Fixed

    • Tickets — Paid checkout sends the identity number you entered instead of a placeholder.

    • Communities — Sponsor logos are the right shape, and the spacing under the hero is even.

    • Profile — The follow button is readable in every theme.

    • Tickets — Your ticket list stops merging tickets of the same type into one row.

  19. v2.0.25

    Fixed

    • Search engines — Free and RSVP events advertise a price of zero rather than nothing at all, so they can appear as free in search results.

  20. v2.0.24

    Fixed

    • Search engines — Event pages carry the details Google asks for, so they qualify for rich results.

  21. v2.0.23

    Fixed

    • Search engines — Two pages that do not exist were removed from the sitemap.

  22. v2.0.22

    Fixed

    • Search engines — The sign-in and password pages each have one title instead of two.

  23. v2.0.21

    Changed

    • Blog — The blog moved from /now to /blog — the pages, the feed and the navigation. Old links redirect, so bookmarks and feed subscriptions keep working.

    • Sharing — A blog post shares as the banner its own card shows, full-bleed, instead of retyping the title and excerpt the preview already prints underneath.

    Fixed

    • Sharing — Turkish letters render properly in share images. ğ, ş and İ were coming out in the wrong typeface.

    • Sharing — The heart in the share image is drawn rather than typed, so it comes out in the right colour.

    • Search engines — The indexing failures Search Console reported across the site were resolved.

  24. v2.0.20

    Added

    • Tickets — At-the-door ticketing from a printed QR code. Put up a code at the entrance and guests scan it to get their own ticket, instead of an organizer typing in their details.

  25. v2.0.19

    Added

    • Organizer panel — A dashboard is the panel's landing page, with a matching overview for each event: the numbers that matter, on charts built for the panel.

    • Organizer panel — Community analytics: events per month, an attendance trend, a year of activity at a glance, and the mix of event types.

    • Payments — Revenue charts: monthly income, a running total, and the events earning the most.

    • Communities — A community can carry a city and a category, set when you create it or later in settings.

    • Tickets — Each ticket in an order needs its own email address, so one person cannot quietly claim several seats.

    • Mobile — The files that let the Gathin app open Gathin links directly.

    • Home — The certificates rail suggests something to do when you have not earned one yet, instead of just reporting the absence.

    • Blog — A post without a cover image gets a generated one drawn from its subject rather than sharing one design with every other post.

    Changed

    • Organizer panel — Mailing is called Announcements, and the sidebar marks where you are.

    Fixed

    • Appearance — Light mode meets contrast standards across every surface. It was failing badly, worst on the newer panel screens.

    • Organizer panel — The community logo and banner appear in settings, settings stop looking unsaved after you save them, and the panel no longer flashes on every page change.

    • Organizer panel — Communities that only exist on the other platform are gone from the admin list and the communities menu.

    • Profile — Following someone once follows them once. The same person could end up listed five times.

    • Profile — Initials avatars have a background and the right shape.

    • Communities — The empty gap above the banner on a phone is gone.

    • Events — An event card's cover stops short of the card edge on a phone.

  26. v2.0.18

    Added

    • Communities — Community-level sponsors, managed from the panel.

    Fixed

    • Events — The meeting link for an online event you joined is on the button itself.

  27. v2.0.17

    Fixed

    • Events — The private-community notice stops flashing on every page change.

    • Tickets — The confirmation after buying a ticket stays on screen instead of vanishing.

  28. v2.0.16

    Fixed

    • Profile — Hover cards show the person's real cover image, and home page navigation works again.

  29. v2.0.15

Released as 2.0.16 — this version number was never deployed.

  30. v2.0.14

    Changed

    • Organizer panel — Moving between panel pages is faster: the sidebar and the pages around it stop being rebuilt every time, and data already loaded is reused.

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — The sidebar stops flashing on every page change, and deleting a gallery image or an announcement updates the list in place instead of reloading everything.

  31. v2.0.13

    Added

    • Events — Ticket sales start now by default, so a ticketed event no longer asks for two separate start dates.

    • Events — Co-organizers can be added while creating an event, not only afterwards.

  32. v2.0.12

    Added

    • Events — Per-event organizers: add people to run an event with you, see them on the event page, and remove yourself from one you were added to.

    • Profile — An Organized tab listing the events you run.

    Changed

    • Performance — A broad pass over how much the app redraws and refetches. Typing in the ticket, schedule and sponsor forms no longer redraws the list behind them, checkout responds per field, and deleting a single row updates that row instead of reloading the page.

    Fixed

    • Communities — Joining or leaving a community updates the button and the member count in place. It used to reload the whole page, losing your scroll position and closing anything you had open.

    • Website — Accepting the cookie notice no longer reloads the page.

    • Security — Bank details are no longer returned for every community you belong to; they are fetched only for the community you administer, when you open its payment settings.

  33. v2.0.11

Released as 2.0.12 — this version number was never deployed.

  34. v2.0.10

    Added

    • Events — Social joins the list of event categories.

    Fixed

    • Search engines — The sitemap lists the same event addresses the site itself uses, with honest dates.

  35. v2.0.9

Released as 2.0.10 — this version number was never deployed.

  36. v2.0.8

    Added

    • Communities — A new community starts with a general text room and a chit-chat voice room instead of nothing at all.

    • Appearance — The green Bauhaus look, applied across the shared components.

    Fixed

    • Communities — Loading more members adds them to the list instead of reshuffling the ones already there.

    • Events — The venue name and the address description are the right way round on the event page.

  37. v2.0.7

    Added

    • Communities — Member lists load as you scroll instead of stopping at the first page.

    • Events — Events carry KDV. Each event sets whether prices include tax, and the rate is shown at checkout.

    • Organizer panel — A check-in can be undone from the participant list, and checking someone in takes one tap.

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — The header actions stay above the settings and members sub-header instead of being covered by it.

  38. v2.0.6

    Added

    • Organizer panel — Speakers, sponsors, offers, schedule and ticket holders all use the same prompt when they are empty, rather than five different ones.

    Fixed

    • Events — The attendee form sits flush instead of leaking a shifted background behind it.

    • Events — The participant count never reads lower than the tickets you hold yourself.

    • Feedback — Bug report screenshots are capped by count and total size.

  39. v2.0.5

    Added

    • Appearance — A full dark theme, now the default, with a light/dark toggle in the account menu.

    • Events — Co-hosted events. An owner can add other communities as collaborators, and the event appears on all of their pages.

    • Events — A waitlist for RSVP events, with a registration limit and a start time for when registration opens.

    • Events — An event you have earned a certificate for shows it on the page.

    • Sharing — Invite links carry a referral, so an organizer can see who brought whom.

    • Feedback — Report a bug from inside the app, with screenshots, instead of writing an email.

    • Drafts — Composers save as you type and restore what you had if you are interrupted.

    • Tickets — The QR code on a ticket works, and scanning it opens the event page.

    • Email — All four transactional emails rebuilt on the white-card design.

    • Sharing — Event and community share images rebuilt on the Frame-12 design.

    • Sign-in — Sign-in, registration and Google sign-in record where the account came from.

    Changed

    • Branding — ToGather is now Gathin. New logo across the app, the emails, the error pages and the share images, and the accent colour moves from purple to Gathin green.

    • Profile — The events feed reads as a history — most recently acquired ticket first — rather than by upcoming date.

    Fixed

    • Profile — The attended-events count no longer reads low.

    • Events — The participant count updates as soon as a ticket is bought.

    • Sharing — The green background in share images is green rather than transparent.

  40. v2.0.4

    Added

    • Sign-in — Sign in with Google.

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — A ticket sale window keeps the date when only the date has been picked.

    • Events — Event addresses with Turkish characters resolve properly.

  41. v2.0.3

Released as 2.0.4 — this version number was never deployed.

  42. v2.0.2

    Fixed

    • Communities — A community page still loads when its events cannot be fetched, instead of failing outright.

  43. v2.0.1

    Added

    • Website — The public marketing site: a landing page with popular events, a features tour, pricing, contact, and the legal pages.

    • Blog — The blog, with search, category filters and an RSS feed.

    • Organizer panel — Ticket holders can be exported to Excel.

    Changed

    • Website — The Features, Pricing, Blog and Contact links are reachable from anywhere, including the mobile menu.

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — Excel export works. It was failing with "Failed to create Excel file".

    • Communities — The discovery cover image keeps its subject in frame on a phone.

  44. v2.0.0

    Added

    • Sharing — A share window on communities, events and profiles, with X, LinkedIn, email and copy-link, in all six languages.

    Changed

    • Platform — Gathin moved onto a new foundation. Pages are rendered on the server, so they open faster and are properly readable by search engines and link previews.

  45. v1.4.10

    Added

    • Communities — Organizer roles are shown under each name, with the founder first and the rest behind a "+N organizers" button, and a community's social links sit under its numbers.

    • Communities — The join page for a private community was redesigned around the community's own avatar, name and description.

    • Events — The visibility picker on the event form explains each option, and the RSVP and certificate choices carry a short hint.

    • Tickets — Tickets you already hold stay visible while you buy another, and the duplicate-ticket warning shows you which ones you already have.

    • Organizer panel — Cancelled tickets are marked with a red cross in the participant list and organizer-added ones with their own icon, and the sold count and revenue exclude cancelled, refunded and organizer-added tickets.

    • Organizer panel — The members tab has a search box.

    • Comments — The composer moved above the list, replies are joined to their parent by a connector line, and the five most recent comments show first.

    Fixed

    • Communities — Announcements from the community you were just looking at no longer linger after you switch to another one.

  46. v1.4.9

    Added

    • Profile — Events are split into upcoming and past, and someone else's profile offers to join the events they are going to.

    • Communities — The pending-requests tab carries a count.

    • Events — The participant list can be filtered by ticket type.

    Changed

    • Profile — Following someone reads "Following" in green rather than "Unfollow".

    • Events — Cards on the home page are the same height in a row.

    Fixed

    • Communities — The member list pagination that never worked was removed.

  47. v1.4.8

    Added

    • Organizer panel — Speakers can be dragged into the order you want them in, and the event page shows them in that order rather than alphabetically.

    Fixed

    • Organizer panel — A speaker order survives being saved, and stops reverting when something unrelated on the page reloads.

  48. v1.4.7

    Fixed

    • Tickets — Buying a ticket creates one ticket. A timing problem could create two.

  49. v1.4.6

    Added

    • Profile — A Badges tab showing the badges you have earned.

    • Profile — A phone number with a country code, which fills itself into the ticket form and is saved after your first purchase.

    • Tickets — A warning before you buy a ticket you already hold.

    Changed

    • Profile — The Certificates tab is hidden until you have one, the way Badges already was.

  50. v1.4.5

    Added

    • Profile — A banner with the avatar overlapping it, matching the community page, your communities in a sidebar, and a Share Profile button.

    • Organizer panel — A participant row expands to show email, phone, tags and when the ticket was sold.

    • Tickets — Browser autofill is detected, so the buy button enables itself when your details are filled in for you.

    Changed

    • Organizer panel — Checking someone in is instant with five seconds to undo, instead of a confirmation dialog.

    • Payments — The revenue page inside an event is called Event Payments and drops the community-wide figures.

    • Loading — Every page shows its own outline while it loads rather than one full-screen spinner.

    Fixed

    • Tickets — Autofilled details enable the buy button.

    • Payments — Long event titles no longer overflow their cards.

  51. v1.4.4

    Added

    • Pro — A Pro page in the organizer panel with an early-access application, and a Pro badge on communities that have it.

    • Communities — The communities list loads as you scroll instead of asking you to press a button.

    • Events — The participant list shows who is hosting, groups repeat tickets from the same person, and asks visitors to sign in to see who else is going.

    • Images — Every image fades in when it is ready instead of painting in as it downloads.

    • Events — Clicking an online event's link as a visitor explains you need to register first.

    Changed

    • Communities — The communities page leads with popular events rather than the nearest dates.

    • Events — The event page's community section, info cards and description were redesigned to sit together.

    • Organizer panel — The communities list is a card grid on a desktop and a compact list on a phone.
