Cookie Policy

1. What Is a Cookie
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) through your browser when you visit a website. By storing information about your visit, cookies enable the site to function, your preferences to be remembered and usage to be measured.
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the "Gathin" platform (gathin.com) operated by "Loopcode Bilişim Yazılım Mühendislik Eğitim ve Danışmanlık A.Ş." ("Loopcode" or the "Company").
Cookies may be classified according to different criteria:
- By origin: "first-party cookies" placed directly by Gathin, and "third-party cookies" placed by third parties providing services through Gathin.
- By storage period: "session cookies", which are deleted when the browser session is closed, and "persistent cookies", which remain on your device for a certain period.
- By purpose: strictly necessary, functional and analytical cookies.
The term "cookie" used in this Policy also covers similar technologies serving the same purpose as cookies (including local storage areas, pixels, software development kits and session tokens).
Personal data obtained through the processing of cookies is processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the "KVKK"). This Policy should be read together with the "Privacy Policy" and the "KVKK Privacy Notice".
2. Cookies We Use
The cookies used on Gathin are grouped under the following headings according to the function they serve in the provision of the service. Cookies other than strictly necessary cookies are activated only where your explicit consent is present.
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the core functions of the platform to operate and cannot be disabled. Not requiring consent, they are processed under the KVKK on the grounds that they are directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, and on the basis of the legitimate interests of our Company.
| Cookie / Purpose | Function | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Maintains the continuity of your session throughout your visit | Session |
| Authentication cookie | Recognises your session when you log in and manages your access to authorised pages | Session / Persistent |
| CSRF cookie | Protects forms and transactions against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
| Language preference cookie | Ensures the interface language you select is retained on subsequent visits | Persistent |
If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, core functions such as logging in, purchasing tickets and submitting forms may not work.
2.2 Analytical / Performance Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use the platform, measure page views and interactions, and improve the service. Google Analytics is used for this purpose.
Separately from these, the Platform operates its own first-party visitor and session analytics. Unlike Google Analytics, which is subject to the cookie consent banner, this analytics operates through cookie-like technologies (for example session storage / sessionStorage) on the basis of legitimate interest, independently of cookie consent. Only aggregate traffic statistics are provided to Organisers; details are explained in section 2.8 of the Privacy Policy.
Analytical cookies are activated only after your explicit consent (Article 5/1 of the KVKK) has been obtained. If you do not give consent or withdraw your consent, Google Analytics is not activated and these cookies are not placed on your device. For details regarding Google Analytics, see section 3 of this Policy.
2.3 Functional Cookies
Although not strictly necessary for core functions, these cookies remember your preferences in order to personalise your user experience.
| Cookie / Purpose | Function | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Theme preference | Stores your preference for light or dark appearance | Persistent |
| Language / region preference | Ensures your interface-related preferences are retained | Persistent |
2.4 Consent Cookie
A cookie named lodos-togather-consent is used to record your cookie preferences. This cookie stores your decision to accept or reject given in the cookie consent banner, so that your choice is respected without having to ask you again on every visit. The consent cookie is required for your preferences to be applied correctly and stores your choice in your browser.
3. Third-Party Cookies and Services
Gathin uses third-party service providers in order to offer certain functions. These services may place their own cookies or similar technologies and may process the relevant data within the framework of their own privacy policies. The practices of these third parties are their own responsibility, and we recommend that you review the privacy and cookie documents of the relevant service provider.
- Google OAuth: Allows you to sign in to your account with Google. Cookies or similar technologies may be used by Google during the authentication process.
- Google Analytics: Used to measure and improve platform usage. It operates only where your explicit consent is present (see Section 2.2). These cookies collect statistical information about visit frequency, pages viewed and general usage behaviour.
- Google Maps: Used to display event locations on a map. Cookies or similar technologies may be placed by Google while the map component is loading.
- iyzico (3D Secure): Paid ticket payments are carried out through the iyzico infrastructure with 3D Secure. iyzico may use its own cookies or similar technologies in order to complete the payment process securely and to prevent fraud. Your card details are transmitted to iyzico via Loopcode's payment infrastructure for the purpose of executing the payment and are not stored by Loopcode.
- Video meeting / room provider: For events held online, the Memeet infrastructure (memeet.lodos.io; a service within Lodos) is used to provide the video meeting or room service. While joining this service, a cookie or similar technology in the nature of an access token identifying your session may be used.
4. Managing Cookies and Consent
On your first visit to the marketing site, a cookie consent banner is displayed. Through this banner you may accept or reject analytical cookies. Your preference is stored in the lodos-togather-consent cookie and may be updated at any time. Analytical cookies are activated only if you give explicit consent through this banner; if you reject, Google Analytics is not activated.
You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of that consent up to the date of withdrawal.
In addition, you may manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view and delete cookies, to block all cookies or only third-party cookies, and to receive a warning before a cookie is placed. How these settings are changed varies from browser to browser and can be found in the help section of the relevant browser.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled. These cookies are required for the core functions of the platform to operate and are not subject to consent. If you block strictly necessary cookies through your browser, functions such as logging in, purchasing tickets and submitting forms may not work properly or may not work at all.
For detailed information about your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK in relation to personal data processed through cookies, and about the purposes for which such data is processed, please review the "Privacy Policy" and "KVKK Privacy Notice" documents.
