Your profile

Your profile is a public page that shows who you are and the events you have been part of on Gathin. Once you choose a username, your profile opens at gathin.com/username, and you can share that address. Older links in the /@username form still work and redirect to the new address.

If you do not have a username yet, a Claim your username window appears on your own profile. You can pick an @username there.

What shows on your profile

The top of your profile has:

• Your cover image and profile photo
• Your name and username (@username)
• Your About text
• Under it, on one line, your city, your personal website, and when you joined Gathin (for example "Joined March 2026")
• Your social links as small icons, and the counts: Followers, Following, Events Joined and Communities

Tap the followers or following count to open the list. The Events Joined count takes you to the Events tab, and the Communities count opens all the communities in a window.

Marks beside your name

A verification tick, the Lodos team badge, or the logo of a community you run may show beside your name. See verification and badges.

If your speaker page is linked to your account, a Verified speaker badge also appears beside your name. Nobody hands it out: it comes from your talks and stays for as long as you have at least one. See claim your speaker page.

The buttons on your profile

On your own profile, under the cover, you see:

• The share icon (Share Profile): share your profile link.
• The QR icon (Show your QR code): opens your profile's QR code. From there, Copy link copies the link and Save image downloads the QR code as a picture. Someone you meet at an event can scan it with their phone and land on your profile.
• Edit Profile: opens the page where you change your profile details.

If something is missing from your profile (a photo, a cover, the About text, social links or a username), a Complete your profile card shows at the top. You finish the remaining steps from there one by one.

When you look at someone else's profile, you see a Follow button instead of Edit Profile. For someone you follow, the button turns into a person icon with a check; tap it to unfollow.

Tabs

The body of your profile has two tabs:

• Events: the events you attended, spoke at and organized
• Achievements: the certificates you received and the badges you earned. It only shows when you have at least one of them.

On the right of the tab strip are three icons for your own profile:

• Bookmark (Saved Events): events you saved to look at later (only you see these)
• List (Lists): lists you put together from events you're going to (lists). On someone else's profile, this icon only shows if they have a public list.
• Ticket (My Tickets): your tickets and QR codes (only you see these)

The Events feed

The Events tab is a single feed: the events you bought tickets for and the events you spoke at sit together. An event that's both shows up once, not twice.

From the filter menu next to the tab name you can switch between All Events, Active Events and Past Events. Active Events are the ones that haven't ended yet, including any happening right now. If you've spoken at an event, a Talks filter also appears; if you've organized events, the Organized filter lists them. When there are no such events, that filter doesn't show at all.

The card for an event you're speaking at says "You're speaking" or "You spoke". That holds even if you also bought a ticket, since speaking is your main role there.

Achievements

If you have both certificates and badges, the menu next to the Achievements tab lets you show only one of them: All, Certificates or Badges.

To one side of your profile there's also a list of the communities you're a member of.

In the app

In the app, your own profile is on the Profile tab. Search, notifications and Settings icons sit at the top. Beside your photo are Share and the QR code button; under your follower counts, Tickets (with how many are upcoming) and Saved sit side by side, then come your events and achievements. On each event, your status (going, host, speaker) sits on the edge of its picture. To change your details, open Settings and tap your name at the top.
