Create a certification program

A program holds a certificate's design and the list of people who received it. You need one before you can design or issue anything.

Create it

On the Certification page, stay on the Programs tab and press Add beside the title (New on a phone). In the New program form, fill in:

• Title: the program name, shown on the certificate and its public page (e.g. "Foundations of Web Development").
• Note: an optional description.
• Duration and Unit: how long the program ran, in days, weeks, months, or years.
• Total hours: the total study hours.
• Code prefix: the short prefix on every verification code from this program (e.g. LOD produces codes like LOD-2026-T7CPCGJZ). Keep it short.
• Language: the certificate's language.

Press Create and the program opens on its detail page.

Link it to an event

You can link the program to one of your events, so a course or workshop and its certificate are connected. On the program detail page, pick the event from the Linked event selector under the title. It saves as soon as you pick. To remove the link, choose Not linked to an event.

You can also set the link from the event. In the event's settings, on the Details tab, there is a Certificate program selector under the Certified Event question. An event has one program. If you pick an event that another program is linked to, the link moves to this program.

On the page of an event with a linked program, visitors see the certificate's design, total hours and duration in a Certificate section. People who earned the certificate also see their own certificate on the event page.

The program's tabs

A program has three tabs:

• Templates: the certificate designs. A program needs at least one before you can issue.
• Holders: everyone who has received a certificate from this program.
• Issue: where you pick a design and send certificates to a list of people.

Editing and removing

From the program detail page, use Edit in the top right to change any of the fields above, or the trash icon to delete the program. Deleting a program permanently removes its templates too, so only do it if you no longer need the record.

The duration, total hours and code prefix appear on the certificates and their public pages, so check them before you issue in bulk. Next, design the certificate.
