Find events and communities

There are two easy ways to find something to join on Gathin: browse the discovery pages and use search. Both work without an account.

The Events page

The Events page (/events) shows upcoming events. Events are grouped by their date, so it is easy to follow what is happening on which day.

There are a few filters to narrow the list:

• Pick a specific date or a date range
• Filter events by whether they are in person or online

To the side of the page you will find a list of popular communities and a map showing where events are.

The Communities page

To explore communities, go to the Communities page (/communities). You can browse communities by category. Switch between "All" and "Joined" to look at either every community or only the ones you are a member of.

To join a community, press the join button on its card. If you change your mind, you can leave from the same place.

Search

If there is something specific you are looking for, use search. Click the search icon at the top of the page, or press Cmd/Ctrl + K on your keyboard. Search finds events, communities, and people together.

As you start typing, results appear right away. Click the right one and it takes you to its page.

The search window also has two separate modes:

• Discover Venues — searches the venue directory by name or city. It lists venues even with the box empty, and you don't need to be signed in.
• Explore the platform — searches this guide and the platform's own pages. Inside the guide, the window opens straight into this mode.
