Notifications

Notifications keep you posted on new events from the communities you belong to. You reach them from the bell icon in the top bar.

Seeing your notifications

Tap the bell icon at the top right. The panel that opens lists your notifications from newest to oldest. Unread ones look marked, and a small count on the bell shows how many are waiting for you.

When you tap a notification, it takes you straight to the related event or community.

Where notifications come from

Most of your notifications come from the communities you are connected to: you get one when a community you follow or belong to creates a new event. The more communities you are connected to, the more updates you get.

A few other things produce one too:

• Your ticket: when you get one, and when an organizer resends it to you.
• A new event in a series you joined — see Event series.
• Outcomes about your account: when a verification request is approved or declined — see Verification and badges.

If you run an event, you'll get a few more about it: when a verified attendee signs up, when new comments come in, and hourly registration summaries. You control the email side of those from the event's settings — see Emails your event sends you.

Managing what you get

There is no separate on-or-off screen for notifications. What you get is decided by which communities you are connected to. If you no longer want a community's events, you can unfollow or leave that community.
